The challenge
A regional referral hospital cannot pause when the grid does. Theatres, intensive care, diagnostics and cold-chain storage all depend on electrical continuity, and every interruption carries clinical consequences.
Bolgatanga Regional Hospital, the regional referral hospital serving Ghana’s Upper East Region, required standby generation engineered for that responsibility.
What the project scope covered
The project scope covered the standby power package for the hospital as one engineered whole, comprising equipment supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the generator systems and their associated electrical infrastructure.
The engagement context
Standby generation of this kind is designed to support continuity of critical healthcare services and the continuous operation of essential medical equipment, providing the electrical backbone hospitals rely on when the grid fails.
